Price Details
Your purchase includes the following services:
Physician fee
Vaginal delivery with or without cervical dilation, episiotomy and/or forceps and your postpartum visits during your stay in the hospital.
Facility Fee
1-3 days stay in the hospital for the mother and ONE well newborn. Length of stay in the hospital will be the decision of your physician based on your medical needs. If postpartum complications occur, the mother or the newborn may be required to stay longer in the hospital and there will be an additional charge for each day.
Anesthesiologist fee
regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
Pediatrician fee
This DOES NOT INCLUDE the exam performed by a pediatrician. You will receive a bill for this portion.
Depending on time of arrival, you may be seen by another provider within the Women's Medical Associates of Nashville group. Please speak with your provider for details.
Your purchase includes care for both the mother and the baby during a routine delivery and routine newborn care only. If the mother has multiples, there will be an additional $1000 fee per baby. Please note if there are complications with either the mother’s visit or the newborn’s visit, additional fees will apply.

**If any complication is diagnosed by a physician during the care of mother and/or newborn, the normal Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital charge structure will apply. Postpartum suites are not included in this package. Professional fees for radiologists, pathologists, and pediatricians are not included.
Hospitalist fee
services provided by a hospitalist, a doctor who is responsible for coordinating medical care for hospitalized patients if your physician becomes unavailable
MDsave fee
Covers the cost of contracting upfront rates with all involved medical providers, processing payment, and distributing funds, minimizing administrative overhead and allowing for a lower total price
