A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Andrew Katz, MD, joined Lutheran Medical Group in July 1998. Before that, he practiced at the Oberlin Clinic and Allen Memorial Hospital in Oberlin, Ohio.
Dr. Katz received a bachelor's degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. He earned a medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, and completed an internal medicine residency at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, also in Cleveland.
Dr. Katz is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Fort Wayne Medical Society, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and the American Liver Foundation. Dr. Katz participates in various medical research projects and is frequently published.
