The Lakewood Medical Pavilion offers primary care for the entire family. The UMKC School of Medicine Family Medicine faculty staff this large private practice on the Lakewood campus. As board-certified Family Medicine physicians, these providers offer the first point of access to the health care system for both routine and acute care needs. Patients have immediate access to on-site laboratory, diagnostic imaging and a comprehensive list of specialists. Additionally, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Nurse mid-wife services are available in the Pavilion.

Medicare Initial Preventive Physical Exams ( IPPE) and Annual Well Visits (AWV) are encouraged for Medicare-eligible patients and a covered benefit once a year. These visits allow your physician to review your current medications and schedule your well care and screening visits. When you come in for acute care needs, your history is up to date and the focus can be on that immediate need.
