Intermountain TOSH Imaging Services provides a wide range of imaging (radiology) services right in the heart of the Salt Lake Valley. Our team of board-certified radiologists and registered and licensed technologists are dedicated to helping their patients have a positive experience while providing physicians with high quality images.
Our Services
Convenience for patients
- TOSH Imaging Service’s newly expanded and remodeled imaging suite provides a spacious and caring environment for patients.
- Our team offers a wide range of appointment availability for patients — even for same-day add-ons. Call 801-314-2370 to speak to a scheduling representative before coming to the hospital, especially for CT, fluoroscopy, MRI, and ultrasound appointments.
- Our services are offered in a convenient and accessible setting that’s not subject to the types of delays typically found in other hospitals.
Computed Tomography (CT) Scan
- Featuring a GE Optima scanner, TOSH’s CT services use low-dose scans to help protect patients from unnecessary radiation while still maintaining exceptional image quality. Patients requiring oral contrast are given the option to have a bed with a 63-inch TV while they drink.
- Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm. Please call to check same-day add-on availability before coming to the hospital.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Features two GE wide-bore MRI scanners — a 3 Tesla and a 1.5 Tesla (3T and 1.5T).
- Our 3T scanner is stationed in a caring suite with a 60-inch TV mounted to the ceiling to help ease claustrophobic patients. With advanced imaging options, we provide high quality images with shorter scan times.
- Our 1.5T scanner is MARS capable. These metal reduction techniques help produce quality images with patients who have metal implants.
- Both scanners feature Pandora Music Radio for patients during their scans.
- Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 6:30 am – 9:30 pm, and Saturdays, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Please call to check same-day add-on availability before coming to the hospital.
General Radiology (X-ray)
- TOSH’s X-ray technology has the ability to perform leg-length and scoliosis imaging studies, along with traditional plain film radiography.
- X-ray hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.
- Fluoroscopy hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please call to check same-day add-on availability before coming to the hospital.
Ultrasound
- TOSH’s ultrasound services offer vascular (limited) ultrasound, OB/GYN-specific ultrasound, and many other routine studies. Our two spacious ultrasound suites each feature a large TV monitor and a separate patient restroom.
- Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 7:15 am – 7:00 pm. Please call to check same-day add-on availability before coming to the hospital.
DEXA
- Our GE Lunar iDXA machine performs bone density and whole-body composition scans for both pediatric and adult patients.
- Hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Multipurpose Suite
- TOSH’s multipurpose imaging suite is used to perform a variety of procedures requiring imaging support, including arthrograms, nerve root blocks, epidurals, and joint injections.
Recovery
- Features three patient recovery areas, a dedicated nursing station, and a patient restroom. This space is designed to help patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their time in TOSH’s imaging department.
