Procedure Details

This is a surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems inside of the joints in the knee. This includes a knee arthroscopy with medical transplantation or drilling and an MRI of the knee. You may receive a bill from the radiologist for the interpretation of the MRI.

  • Facility fee

    operating and recovery room services & supplies for outpatient stay (less than 24 hours) at Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics

  • Physician fee

    treatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.

  • Anesthesiologist fee

    regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure

  • MDsave fee

    Covers the cost of contracting upfront rates with all involved medical providers, processing payment, and distributing funds, minimizing administrative overhead and allowing for a lower total price

Todd D. Bell is a Chattanooga native, a graduate of the Baylor School and the University of Alabama. He earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. As a student, he was honored by being awarded the Outstanding Medical Student of the Year at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His specialties include:   Sports Medicine   Arthroscopic Surgery   Dr. Bell served an Internship in General Surgery and his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. During his Residency, he donated his time and talents by traveling to Haiti, providing surgical care to a rural Haitians.   Dr. Bell completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Traumatology at Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute. It was then that he was recruited to come home to Chattanooga and join the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics.   Along with his practice of general orthopaedics, Dr. Bell is instrumental in our sports medicine program and has treated hundreds of student athletes from area high schools and colleges.   ”It’s wonderful to be back home where I can help students heal from injuries they sustain while playing sports.
