Procedure Details
This includes a flexible or rigid, transoral esophagoscopy with or without specimens collection by biopsy or brushing. This procedure allows physicians to examine the digestive tract in a patient with a possible digestive disorder or disease.

- Facility feeoperating and recovery room services & supplies for outpatient stay (less than 24 hours) at Lutheran Hospital
- Physician feephysician supervision & treatment in hospital. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
- Anesthesiologist feeregional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
- Pathology feespecimen(s) examination and tests for diagnosis. This test does not include the pathologic workup of malignancy. If malignancy is discovered during your procedure, additional charges will be incurred.

Sushil K. Jain, MD, who is board certified in gastroenterology, completed his undergraduate studies at and earned a medical degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He completed an internal medicine internship and a residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass., and he was a gastroenterology fellow at University of Chicago Hospitals.
Dr. Jain is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
