At Scenic Mountain Medical Center, diagnostic imaging is used to create a graphic depiction of the structures and functions of the body’s organs and other internal systems. These images are used to examine and diagnose certain medical conditions. The diagnostics department at Scenic Mountain Medical Center is a full-service department operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff consists of 15 American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)/Texas Department of Health Medical Radiologic Technologist (TDHMRT) professionals with combined experience of over 100 years. Among these technologists is an ARRT-registered mammographer, two ARRT-registered computed tomography technologists, an ARRT-registered MRI technologist and a NMTCB-registered nuclear medicine technologist. Scenic Mountain Medical Center also improves image storage and access with the newly installed PICTURE ARCHIVING AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (PACS).
