Facility fee
operating and recovery room services & supplies for a normal inpatient stay (average 1 to 2 days) which will be determined by your physician at LDS Hospital
Physician fee
treatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
Anesthesiologist fee
regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
Pathology fee
DOES NOT INCLUDE A PATHOLOGY FEE. The patient may receive a bill for this portion.
Hospitalist fee
DOES NOT INCLUDE THE HOSPITALIST FEE. Hospitals often contract with hospitalist groups who provide care to patients if the primary care physician becomes unavailable. If your situation requires hospitalist services, you will receive a bill from the hospitalist group.

About Rodrick D. McKinlay, MD, FACS
Rodrick D. McKinlay, MD, FACS
Dr. Rodrick McKinlay joined Rocky Mountain Associated Physicians in 2004 as a board certified general surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive or laparoscopic surgery. In addition to the surgical treatment of obesity, his practice involves a wide range of minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery, including hernia repair, gallbladder removal, anti-reflux surgery, and the surgical treatment of spleen and adrenal disorders.
Dr. McKinlay graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1993 and then received his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1997, where he graduated with honors in medicine and surgery. After completing General Surgery residency at the University of Arizona, he began a minimally invasive surgery (MIS) fellowship at the University of Kentucky, buy phentermine melbourne focusing on research in MIS. He concluded the clinical portion of the fellowship at the University of Maryland.
Dr. McKinlay is Board Certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Seeing the change that can occur in a patient’s life after bariatric surgery or other surgery is what he enjoys most about caring for patients.
He loves to spend time with his family, especially in the outdoors. He particularly enjoys playing soccer, running, and skiing. Fluent in Spanish, he also enjoys literature and the arts.
