He attended the Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster Pennsylvania prior to obtaining his medical degree and earned his Bachelors degree Cum Laude in 1981.His surgery residence in General & Peripheral Vascular Surgery was completed at the University Of Arizona Health Sciences Center, located in Tucson, Arizona, where he was nominated for Medical Student-Selected House Officer of the Year for three consecutive years.
