About Park City Hospital

Park City Hospital

With the most advanced technology, the backing of the Intermountain Healthcare system, and a visually stunning facility that provides a spectacular mountain backdrop, Park City Hospital truly offers the best of both worlds.

As residents of this community and planet, we feel a strong obligation to design, build, and operate the hospital in a way that minimizes its impact on the natural environment. We call these our green initiatives:

  • Bicycle racks, showers, and changing facilities are provided for employees who ride their bikes to work
  • 80% of the hospital’s 156 acres is dedicated open space for the community to enjoy
  • To reduce ozone depletion, our systems and equipment don’t use CFC-based refrigerants
  • We built the hospital using local stone to reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary transportation, avoid unnecessary mining, and support the local economy by purchasing stone from a nearby quarry
  • Recycling bins located throughout the hospital
  • Laundry is taken to a facility that uses state-of-the-art cleaning technology, limiting the amount of water and energy used
  • Native, low-water use plants were used in the landscaping to reduce the hospital’s water use
  • We use rapidly renewable commercial linoleum, which is a natural resin-based product, for the hospital’s flooring
  • Other recycled products include carpet, ceiling tile, and steel
  • We used environmentally friendly adhesives, sealants, paints, and coatings during construction

Park City Hospital (formerly Park City Medical Center) is a full-service community hospital dedicated to serving the medical needs of the community with access to the most advanced medical knowledge and capabilities available.
