This includes a hip replacement surgery performed in an outpatient setting.

    operating and recovery room services & supplies for outpatient stay (less than 24 hours) at Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics

  • Physician fee

    treatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.

  • Anesthesiologist fee

    regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure

  • MDsave fee

    Covers the cost of contracting upfront rates with all involved medical providers, processing payment, and distributing funds, minimizing administrative overhead and allowing for a lower total price

Dr. Joshua Lawson is fellowship trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats a wide range of adult orthopedic conditions, with an emphasis on knee and hip replacement as well as complex revision surgery. Dr. Lawson also performs robotic assisted knee replacement. His specialties include:   Adult Hip & Knee Replacement   Complex Revision Surgery   Robotic Assisted Knee Replacement   Specialized Anterior Approach to Hip Replacement   Dr. Lawson is a Chattanooga native, graduating from Hixson High School in 2005 and attending Lee University on a golf scholarship while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, in Memphis, TN, and completed a 5-year orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.   Dr. Lawson then completed fellowship training in complex and revision hip and knee replacements under the direction of Dr. Arthur Malkani at the University of Louisville. During this fellowship, he also authored several nationally published presentations and papers on joint replacement surgery.   Dr. Lawson is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, International Congress of Joint Reconstruction, and the AO Foundation, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries.   He sees patients at our McCallie and Parkridge offices and performs surgery at CSMO’s Surgery Center and Parkridge Medical Center.   “I believe in partnering with each individual patient to develop a treatment plan that best addresses their unique condition and achieves their long term goals, whether that be through conservative options or surgical intervention.” – Dr. Lawson
