About James M Wells, MD

Born and raised in Nashville, Dr. Michael Wells remained local to earn his bachelor’s degree from Lipscomb University, where he played baseball for the Bisons. He received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine. Following a five-year orthopaedic surgical residency at the University of Mississippi, he completed a one-year sports medicine fellowship at the Ohio Center of Orthopaedic Excellence in Columbus.   Dr. Wells joined Watauga Orthopaedics in July 2008.
