Dr. Tyler Duncan received his undergraduate degree with honors in biology from East Tennessee State University. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, where he graduated with honors for his outstanding scholastic achievements and received numerous awards for outstanding community service. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Holston Valley Medical Center through ETSU’s orthopaedic residency program, where he served as chief resident and trained with several of Watauga Orthopaedics’ surgeons.
Dr. Duncan was born and raised in Kingsport, graduating as valedictorian at Sullivan North High School. With his training completed, Dr. Duncan has returned to Watauga Orthopaedics to establish his practice and serve residents of the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas with the latest in orthopaedic treatment. In his spare time, Dr. Duncan is a volunteer with the youth group at his church and helps several local high school athletic teams. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, woodworking, fly fishing, and spending time outdoors.
