This includes a laparoscopic colectomy. A colectomy is a procedure performed to remove the colon or a section of the colon. Please note that imaging performed before or after the surgery is not included in the surgical bundle.

- Facility feeoperating and recovery room services & supplies for a normal inpatient stay (average 3 to 4 days) which will be determined by your physician at Merit Health River Oaks
- Physician feetreatment and procedure-related postoperative follow-up visit(s) within 90 days of surgery. Does NOT include the initial evaluation to determine the need of the procedure.
- Anesthesiologist feeregional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure
- Pathology feeDOES NOT INCLUDE A PATHOLOGY FEE. The patient may receive a bill for this portion.
- Hospitalist feeservices provided by a hospitalist, a doctor who is responsible for coordinating medical care for hospitalized patients if your physician becomes unavailable
- Tendo Marketplace feeCovers the cost of contracting upfront rates with all involved medical providers, processing payment, and distributing funds, minimizing administrative overhead and allowing for a lower total price

Dr. Chandler is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and received his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his Surgical Residency at the Carolina Medical Center in 2002. Dr. Chandler is a Diplomate of The American Board of Surgery, a Member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons.
