After completing his undergraduate studies from Rhodes College in Memphis with honors, Dr. Gregory Stewart earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School in 1998. He completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, followed by an AO Fellowship with Dr. Bruno Noesberger at Regionalspital in Interlaken, Switzerland.
As a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Stewart treats a variety of musculoskeletal problems including arthritis and sports injuries of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow. He also treats traumatic orthopaedic injuries, as well as post-traumatic reconstruction and deformity correction.
Dr. Stewart lives in Johnson City with his wife, Amber, their two daughters, Mary Keaton and Annie, and their son, Jacob. The Stewarts are a foster family through DCS, are involved in their church, and have been part of several mission teams.
When not working, Dr. Stewart enjoys being outdoors, both on the lake boating and in the mountains skiing. He is a recreational runner and occasionally rides his road bike, though it's often dusty.
