regional or general anesthesia for the entire duration of the procedure

The fully-equipped surgical suites at Foothills Hospital support an extensive range of procedures, from relatively simple repairs to complex total joint replacements. Orthopedic surgery patients needing an overnight stay are cared for by highly experienced nurses at our state-of-the-art Foothills Hospital. Many of our nurses have earned national Orthopaedic Nursing Certification, which requires an advanced level of knowledge and practice in orthopedic nursing.
Patients are routinely seen by physical and occupational therapists during their stay. Nurses and therapists provide valuable care, counseling and teaching to assist patients with full recovery. Case managers, discharge planners and patient representatives help insure the highest quality of care.
