Dr. Tim Keating is an orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement. Dr. Keating is originally from North Carolina and attended Davidson College where he studied biology and was an NCAA Division 1 swimmer. He then attended the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, where he earned his M.D. and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then began his five-year orthopedic residency at Rush University Medical Center, which is consistently ranked in the top five teaching hospitals in the country for orthopedic surgery. He remained at Rush for a capstone year of fellowship training in both minimally invasive and complex hip and knee replacement with the partners of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Dr. Keating’s goal for every patient he meets is to relieve their pain and restore their function. Through a variety of reliable operative and nonoperative treatments, Dr. Keating works with each patient to come up with a personalized plan to get them back to doing the things they love. In addition to providing each patient the best chance at an excellent outcome, Dr. Keating and his team are passionate about customer service and accessibility to their patients. Along with clinical practice, Dr. Keating has a special interest in design and innovation, working with the medical device industry to make surgery more precise and less invasive through advancing surgical instruments and technologies. When not caring for patients, Dr. Keating enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their growing family.
