Dr. Kruger was raised in Freeport, FL, where she graduated Valedictorian in 1999. She then pursued her AA degree from Okaloosa-Walton Community College (now NWFSC), and transferred to the University of Florida where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in 2003, majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, and subsequently moved to Las Vegas, NV, to complete an Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency. She was awarded Outstanding Intern of 2008 and served as Chief Resident in 2012. From 2012-2013, Dr. Kruger completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI, through Kresge Eye Institute - Wayne State University.
