Scott M. Holthusen, MD, is a board-certified Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon specializing in all aspects of care including total ankle replacement, complex reconstruction, trauma, and non-operative management. He also focuses on sports related injuries such as ankle sprains, Achilles tendon rupture and arthroscopic treatment. Originally from Wahpeton, North Dakota, Dr. Holthusen earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Concordia College and his medical degree at University of Minnesota. After four years of residency training in Orthopedics at Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center in Michigan, Dr. Holthusen completed his fellowship in foot and ankle at University of Washington. In 2011, Dr. Holthusen returned to the Midwest and joined Twin Cities Orthopedics. In his spare time, Dr. Holthusen is actively engaged in his sons’ athletic activities including coaching. He also enjoys fishing, traveling and country music.
