About Peter O'Carroll, MD, ABPN

Dr. O'Carroll lives in Granbury with his wife, Kelly (an internal medicine/pediatric physician), and children, Pete, and Cavan. His hobbies include hanging out with family, travel, golf, spending time on the lake and working in the yard. His favorite sports teams are the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers and Chicago Cubs.

Dr. O'Carroll wanted to become a doctor because his mom worked in a physician’s office and he grew up seeing how the doctor’s there did their best to help patients. He was impressed by that and has always looked up to them. He enjoys neurology because he likes the challenge of putting together confusing symptoms for a patient into a diagnosis. He sees it as a difficult but rewarding task, especially when there is an effective treatment available. His areas of interest are general neurology and he is fellowship-trained in clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. O'Carroll's treatment philosophy in his own words: "Give the patient an opportunity to explain their symptoms, put those together with an examination, and make a diagnosis. After that, I want the patients input as to what treatment offered is most appealing to them, so they can become more invested in decision making and maintenance of their problem."
