About Omar Hashmi, MD
Dr. Hashmi is a general surgeon trained across a range of surgical fields in open and laparoscopic techniques. He has extensive robotics experience for colorectal and general surgery procedures as well as extensive experience in trauma and critical care surgery. He was honored with the Gold Humanism Honor Society in medical school. He was awarded Magna Cum Laude, National Merit Scholar, Aresty Summer Science Research Grant and Rutgers College Academic Excellence Scholarship for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Hashmi was most recently employed as the Quality Improvement Chief at Western Pennsylvania and Allegheny General Hospital Medical.
