About Dr. Michael A. Eslava, M.D.
Dr. Michael Eslava graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center/William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Dr. Eslava joined The Orthopaedic Group, P.C. after retiring from the United States Army with 24 years of service and achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Eslava’s practice focuses on knee and shoulder surgery with an interest in sports medicine. He is Board Certified in orthopaedic surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Eslava offers Stryker Mako, a robotic-arm assisted technology designed to have a more predictable surgical experience when performing joint replacement surgery. He was voted as the 2021 Best of Baldwin Best Orthopaedic Surgeon by readers of Gulf Coast News Today.
He lives in Magnolia Springs with his wife, Vanna, and two sons. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, and attending sporting events.
