About Dr. Jonathan R. Adkins

Dr. Adkins is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi, and received his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his Surgical Residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Adkins completed a Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is currently the only fellowship trained bariatric surgeon in Central, MS. Dr. Adkins is a Diplomate of American Board of Surgery, a Member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, a Member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
