MDsave is for anyone paying entirely out-of-pocket and looking to save money on healthcare. This can be because you’re uninsured, haven’t met your plan’s deductible, or have been denied insurance coverage for a procedure. If insurance is covering any cost associated with your procedure or if you’re covered by Medicare or Medicaid, you can’t use MDsave. This means MDsave cannot be used towards a copay or coinsurance.
If you have a high deductible health plan and are not on Medicare and Medicaid, your MDsave purchase may count towards your deductible. Your insurance company will decide if your purchased procedure is eligible.
To submit your MDsave purchase to be considered, you will need to obtain the diagnosis code (ICD-10 code) and procedure code (CPT code) from the provider who performed your service, and an itemized statement of charges from an MDsave Care Specialist, which you can request at
